Every occasion is not complete without a spoon of this delicacy. Rava Kesari that is made out of wheat is more nutritious than sooji/semolina. And it will be much tastier when you use jaggery. Wheat Rava is more filling and comforting. Rava Kesari/Wheat Rava Halva can be offered to God as nivedyam. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br />Wheat Rava / Broken Wheat Rava – 1 cup <br />Water –2 cups <br />Sugar – 1 1/2 cup <br />Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp <br />Ghee – 2 tbsp <br />Cashew nuts – 1 tbsp <br />Raisins- 1 tbsp <br /> <br />Method: <br />1. In a pan add Broken Wheat Rawa. Slowly fry the cracked wheat till light brown and nice aroma comes. Remove and keep on the side. <br />2. Now put 2 cups of water in the pan and bring it to a boil. Then reduce the heat and add the cracked wheat and mix and cook until the cracked wheat is completely done. <br />3. It takes at least 12 minutes to cook on low-medium heat. Now add the sugar and combine till the sugar is melted. At this point, the halwa looks little wet. <br />4. In the same pan add a tsp of ghee and fry the cashews and raisins till light brown and remove it. <br />5. Add the cardamom powder, fried cashews and raisins and the 2 tsp of ghee. Combine till everything is nicely incorporated. Cook for another five to ten minutes till the moisture goes away and the halwa comes together. <br />Serve it warm. <br />Happy Cooking!!!
